Motor Vehicle Transfer of Ownership

Transferring vehicle ownership in Cape Town requires the Buyer to register the vehicle in their name within 21 days of purchase at a registering authority.

We will need the following from you:

1. Certified copies of the Seller's ID and Purchasers ID;

2. Proof of Address for the Seller and Purchaser - not older than three (3) months;

3. Original Vehicle Registration Certificate and valid Vehicle Licence;

4. Odometer Reading;

5. Copy of the Sale Agreement;

6. Change of Ownership fee, licencing fee, and the payment of our fee in the amount of R500.00.

Deceased Estate Transfer of Ownerships

We will need the following from you:

1. Certified copies of the Letters of Executorship and Death Certificate;
2. Certified copies of the ID document of the Executor and the New Owner;
3. Original Vehicle Registration Certificate and valid Vehicle Licence;
4. Proof of Address (not older than three (3) months, email address, and phone numbers of the Executor and the New Owner;
5. Odometer Reading;
6. Payment of all Outstanding Licence Fees and payment of our fee in the amount of R500.00.
